harrisonshideawayb

A fun and easy family activity for the family during the summer holidays!

Ingredients:

  • 50g Caster Sugar

  • 150g Self Raising Flour

  • 100g Butter

  • Chocolate (for melting)

  • Sprinkles

Equipment:

  • Scales

  • Mixing Bowl

  • Baking Tray with Greaseproof Paper

  • Wooden Spoon

  • Fork

METHOD

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.

  • Beat the butter in your mixing bowl until it is light and creamy.

  • Gradually beat the sugar.

  • Add the flour to the mixture

  • Bring it together by forming a dough with your hands.

  • Make 10-12 equally sized balls from the dough.

  • Place the dough balls onto your baking tray and press them down with a fork.

  • Dip the fork in water to stop it sticking to the dough.

  • Once the biscuits are flat, pop them into the oven for 15 minutes.

(Sometimes it can be a minute or two more/less depending on the oven)

Let the biscuits cool whilst you melt your chocolate. Once cool enough, dip half of the biscuit into the melted chocolate and cover the chocolate with sprinkles.
